Art Room Closed for the Summer, except for Art Camp!!!



The last two days of art meant cleaning cleaning cleaning, all that learning and exploring made a little bit of a mess over the course of the year :). Even some of the students pitched in and helped!!!! A huge thanks to 6A for the scrubbing and marker testing and all those fun little odd jobs.

Thanks for cleaning my sink 6A, it took so long you grew a beard

4th grade artists explored using tissue paper to create this very fun technique that almost looks like tie-dye!! Students drew the statue of liberty after a discussion on the history of the very important american symbol of freedom.

1st grade Paper Mache Roosters!

1st grade artists critiqued the artwork from Artist Miro "El Coq" and created their very own roosters using newspaper to create form and the process of paper mache to turn it into a rooster!! Students had a blast getting messy...well most of them :)
